 bedouins in the negev

Adallah provides legal support for minority groups in Israel, including the Bedouins in the Negev.

There are + 100.000 Bedouins living across the Negev desert. The Israeli government pushes them to give up their traditional life and moves them to newly constructed villages.

In 2006, the government has issued demolition orders for each house in Alsira, a Bedouin village south of Beer Sheva. Thanks to legal action and support from Adallah, the demolition has been postponed so far.
